City: New York 1

It was my brother's 18th and we escaped the freezing English weather to a *slightly* warmer NEW YORK! NYC is my favourite city in the world, when I visited for the first time I was mesmerized by everything from the yellow cabs to the NYPD. I felt like a true Gossip Girl.

On my return, she didn't disappoint. The city felt familiar and this time we had more time to explore as we had already visited all the big 'tourist' spots.

The first thing we needed when we arrived was, of course, FOOD. We headed to Hillstone, a couple of blocks from our Hotel for some sustenance; and it was good Mum and I had salad and the boys plumped for burgers and fries - they said they were great!

Our first real day and we went for a stroll through the park down to Columbus Circle. The City was beautiful and the sun was out, so I was happy!

Bethesda Fountain.

Central Park, I have to say it was weird walking through the park in late March and the trees still being bare!

Next we hot-footed it to Grand Central Terminal, it's celebrating its Centenary so we wanted to check it out again and hit up the 'Dining Concourse' and the Marketplace which we weren't able to get to last time.

Be ready for part 2 tomorrow. Where is your favourite place to go in New York?

Bath.

It's half term and Mummy's shipped the brother off for the weekend leaving us time to play. This time we picked, Bath.
At just over an hour away from Cardiff it was the perfect easy weekend away for me!

We spent the weekend wondering the city, taking in the glorious buildings and, of course, visited the Abbey.

We then headed onto the Fashion Museum to see the Assembly Rooms, which were gorgeous. I was already planning an imaginary event that I could hold in this amazing venue...a 20th Century Masquerade Ball, anyone?

The Chandeliers were just incredible!

Later in the evening we listened to our stomachs and made a last minute reservation at The Malborough Tavern, the food was average not as good as I expected, but it was still nice and I loved having a weekend all to myself with my Mum.

Isn't Mummy-Daughter time the best?
